The definition of a disciple has fallen on hard times. The connection between conversion and community is weak at best, and mission is even less a part of the everyday churchgoer's thinking. The purpose of this conference was to make the biblical case that loving Jesus, loving his people, and loving his mission are in fact inseparable, and point a way forward for fleshing this out in real practice.
